Privacy notice
This is a short interim notice. Our full privacy policy is being prepared with our attorney. This page states plainly what we do today, and we will replace it with the complete policy when it is ready. If anything here matters to a decision you are making, write to us and we will answer directly.
Who we are
TOWNR LLC runs fourteen-day educational culture camps in Australia, Brazil and Japan for students aged 11 to 17. We sell to educational travel agents and to schools. For anything about your information, email hello@townrcamps.com.
What this website collects
Nothing is submitted to us through this website. Our inquiry form does not send data anywhere on its own — it opens a message in your own email program with the details you typed, and nothing is sent until you press send in your own software. We receive only what you choose to send us.
We run no analytics, no advertising and no tracking of any kind on this site.
Cookies and browser storage
We set no cookies. The homepage stores a single item in your browser’s
session storage, named townr_hero, which records only whether the
opening animation has already played so that it does not repeat. It contains no
personal information and your browser discards it when you close the tab.
Our pages load the Lora and Manrope typefaces from Google Fonts. That means Google’s servers receive your IP address when a page loads. We are moving these fonts onto our own server to remove that.
Information we hold about a booking
When an agent or school inquires, we hold the contact and group details they send us so we can quote and reply.
After a booking is confirmed, the school or agent provides participant information through our partner portal — names, dates of birth, passport details, medical and dietary needs, and emergency contacts. We use it only to run the camp safely: to book travel and accommodation, to meet immigration requirements, and to care for students on the ground.
Students under 18
Almost everyone who travels with us is a minor. We do not collect information directly from students. It reaches us from the school or agent organizing the trip, who is responsible for obtaining parental consent before sending it to us. We share it only with the suppliers who need it to deliver that specific camp — airlines, hotels, and medical services in an emergency.
Who processes information for us
- Netlify — hosts this website.
- Google Workspace — our email.
- Skip — hosts the partner portal, where booking and participant records are held.
- Google Fonts — serves the typefaces on this site, as described above.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.
Your rights
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@townrcamps.com and a founder will answer. Depending on where you live you may have further rights, and the full policy will set those out.
How long we keep it
We keep inquiry details while a booking is live and for a period afterwards so we can answer questions about a trip that has run. Exact retention periods are being set with our attorney and will appear in the full policy. If you want your information removed sooner, ask us.
